alternative OS experience (all but windows)
Because I like very much reading entries of my favorite blogs without opening the browser, I'd like sites offering the full-text version of their articles in rss feeds. In my opinion, sites giving only an excerpt in part miss the rss feeds' purpose, which is not only giving a summary of content, but speeding your reading, avoiding opening browser and loading unnecessary bytes.
As I' m used to read many blogs, most of times I have to open ten or more tabs in Safari. I often have a page opened to show only a few lines more than the feed.
Nevertheless, I agree to show an excerpt when articles are very long as well as I can understand those sites doing so because they need to point the reader to the site for some reasons (think to google ads, video/flash contents, etc).
While I've been waiting for drupal's guys to add this feature in some next release of their very good cms, I patched my installation to provide full-text feeds in my site.
I didn't submit the patch to drupal issues page, because I think it should be an option anyway, not a rule.
Instructions: patch against node.module, drupal 4.5.2.
